Overview
A cover clip holds a machine cover or a housing opening shut. This one is molded as a single body: a flat plate that bears on the surface, a raised bar along the back edge, and two triangular gussets that stand between the plate and the body and leave two open pockets either side.
The plate sits flat on the cover, and the two gussets carry the load back into the body, so the clip keeps its shape under a thumb. The bar along the back edge gives fingers a straight line to push against when the clip goes on.
Because a cover clip is molded in one piece, the plate, the bar and the gussets form in one cycle and arrive as one part, with no glued or welded joint that could open.
Our snap-fit cover is a tinted lid that closes a circuit-board housing with molded snap tabs, and our custom snap latch carries two elastic arms on a metal pin and hooks under a panel lip. A cover clip works at the outside of the machine instead: it covers the opening, and the gussets keep it from flexing when the cover is handled.

Customization Options
Plate length, plate width, plate thickness, bar height, gusset height, pocket depth and the color are all set by your 3D file. A cover clip runs in white or gray as standard, and any other color is matched on a color change, so a revised part keeps the same tool. A taller bar, a hooked plate edge and a third gusset are all cut into the same tool.
Quality & Delivery
Every cover clip is checked before the run. The plate face is laid on a flat surface, the gussets are gauged for height and for thickness on both sides, and the bar is checked so it stands square to the plate.
