Overview
This white plastic spur gear is a custom injection molded part produced to your 3D file.
The tooth profile, the central bore and the cylindrical body are molded in one shot, so it suits miniature drives, actuator assemblies and light-load mechanical systems without a secondary machining step. The gear is molded in white as shown, and other colors can run from the same tool.
Key Features & Benefits
– Spur tooth profile — transfers rotation at a fixed ratio between parallel shafts
– Central bore — mounts straight onto your shaft or actuator spindle
– Cylindrical body — keeps the gear running true inside the housing
– Molded tooth form — the same pitch repeats from cavity to cavity
– Molded in one shot — teeth and bore come off the tool as one part
– White color — set in the tool, so the finish does not wear off
Customization Options
The tooth form, the bore diameter, the face width and the hub shape are all set in the tool, so they follow your 3D file instead of a catalogue size. Send the load requirement and the transmission need with the file, and we confirm the draft angles, the shrinkage allowance and the gate position before steel is cut. If the bore has to fit an existing spindle, send that dimension as well, and we hold it in the tool.
When the drive allows it, we mold the gear and the matching transmission component from the same tool family, which keeps the pitch and the bore aligned across the set. Every plastic spur gear is measured against your 3D file before shipment, and the inspection record stays with the tool for repeat orders. Tooling can be modified later for a new bore or tooth count.
Ordering and quotation
Send your 3D file with the load requirement and the yearly volume. You receive a molding quotation that lists tooling cost, cycle time and sample lead time, and the yearly volume also decides how many cavities the tool should carry. We flag any feature that cannot mold cleanly at the wall you need before the quotation goes out.
