Overview
A custom round sleeve fits into a housing hole and gives a round shaft a smooth surface to run in. The bore is molded to the shaft diameter and the wall is kept even along the length, so the shaft stays centred as it moves. A rolled lip at the open end sits on the housing face and locates the sleeve at the right depth, which saves a shoulder in the housing. The same part also slips over a tube end where the cut edge has to be covered.
Because a custom round sleeve is molded, the bore, the wall and the rolled lip are formed in one cycle with no turning and no secondary operation.
A custom round sleeve works as a guide sleeve, a spacer bushing or a support liner depending on the wall thickness you specify, and it can be molded long enough to carry a shaft over its full travel.

Customization Options
Bore diameter, outer diameter, sleeve length, wall thickness, lip diameter and lip radius are all set by your 3D file. We mold in PA6, POM, ABS, PP and glass filled nylon in any colour, and can add a chamfer at the entry, a flange at one end or a split in the wall where the sleeve has to close on the shaft. A revised custom round sleeve usually means only a local tool change, so a new length keeps the same bore and lip.
Quality & Delivery
Parts are checked for bore diameter, outer diameter, sleeve length and roundness, and first articles are sent for approval before the run continues. Wall thickness is confirmed on the first article. Packing keeps the sleeves from rubbing together, so a custom round sleeve arrives ready to press in.
