Overview

A plastic pipe elbow turns a pipeline through a right angle, so a run changes direction without a machined bend or a welded joint. The body is molded as a curved elbow with a cylindrical port at each end, and the bore is left smooth, which keeps the airflow steady and leaves less wall for dust to settle on.

A perforated cutout on the outer face shows the installer that the mating pipe has seated to the right depth, and it gives an auxiliary point where a bracket, a probe or a rod has to be added to the run.

Because a plastic pipe elbow is molded, the curved body, the two ports and the cutout are formed in one cycle, so the elbow holds its angle on every part and the port ends stay round for a slip fit.

Where the joint has to be threaded rather than slipped on, our black 90-degree threaded elbow takes a threaded pipe end. Our plastic tube clamp connector grips a square or a round tube onto a frame instead of changing the direction of a run, and our custom corner connector holds two panels square at a corner.

Customization Options

The body angle, port diameter, wall thickness, port length, cutout size and cutout position are all set by your 3D file. We mold in PP, PVC, ABS and glass filled nylon in any colour, and can add a socket shoulder for a push fit, a threaded port, a mounting boss or a second cutout where the run needs a branch. A revised plastic pipe elbow usually needs only a tool insert change, so a new port diameter keeps the same body.

Quality & Delivery

Each plastic pipe elbow is checked for body angle, port diameter, wall thickness and port length, and the cutout is gauged for size and position before the run continues. First articles are sent for approval, so a plastic pipe elbow arrives ready to fit. Send your 3D file through our quotation page and we will confirm material, colour and lead time.

Related Capabilities

A plastic pipe elbow is molded alongside our black 90-degree threaded elbow, which takes a threaded pipe end, and our plastic tube clamp connector, which clamps a square or a round tube to a frame. Where the run ends against a panel instead, see our custom corner connector. All of them are produced in house under our injection molding service.
