Overview
A hard tool box is a molded case with a carry handle and two latches, made to hold a hand tool kit in a lid that opens flat. The lid carries molded slots and clips, so screwdrivers, wrenches and pliers stay in place while the case is carried.
The base takes a tray, and the tray holds removable clear boxes for screws and small parts. A recess beside the tray takes a pair of pliers.
The shell of a hard tool box is textured with a pebble finish over the faces, ribs across the body and radiused corners, and the handle sits in a recess above the front edge.
Because a hard tool box is molded, the lid, the base, the handle and the latch catches form in one cycle, so the lid stays square to the base and the handle sits on the center line of every case.
Our clear hinged storage box is a semi-transparent container with an integral flip hinge and a snap latch for small parts and samples, and our white hinged-lid case is molded as one piece with a built-in hinge. A hard tool box is built the other way round: two separate latches across the front, a carry handle on the edge and an interior cut for tools.

Customization Options
Case length, case width, case depth, wall thickness, latch position, handle shape, the slot layout in the lid and the tray depth are all set by your 3D file. A revised hard tool box needs only a tool insert change, so a deeper case keeps the same lid and the same latches.
Quality & Delivery
Each case is checked for length, width and depth, the latches are gauged so the lid closes flush, and the slots in the lid are checked for spacing. First articles are sent for approval, so a hard tool box arrives ready to load. Send your 3D file through our quotation page and we will confirm the plastic, the color and the lead time.
Related Capabilities
A hard tool box runs in the same shop as our clear hinged storage box and our white hinged-lid case, which are one-piece containers with integral hinges. Our d-handle tool housing is a two-tone casing for a hand tool, and our light-gray carrying handle is a molded grip on its own.
Where a case has to hold small parts, our transparent blue equipment tray is a molded shell with a recessed cavity. The tool for a new case is cut in house on our mold making line, and the parts run under our injection molding service.
