Overview
A tool box set packs several molded cases together, each one closed by two latches and carried by a handle molded into the case. The bodies run in four colors, so one order covers a whole range.
Every case in a tool box set is built the same way: a lid and a base that meet on a parting line across the middle, a pebble texture over the flat faces, a row of ribs across the body and radiused corners around the outline.
Two latches sit on the front edge and the handle sits in a recess in the middle of the body, so the case is carried by hand and closed without a strap.
Because a tool box set is molded, the lid, the base, the latches and the handle form in one cycle, so a case supplied in one run stacks square on the next, and the four colors come off the same tool on a color change.
Our clear hinged storage box is a one-piece container with an integral flip hinge and a snap latch for small parts and samples, while a tool box set is a two-piece case with two latches and a carry handle. Our white hinged-lid case is molded as one part with a built-in hinge.
Key Features & Benefits
– Four colors — red, gray, green and black
– Carry handle — molded into each case
– Two latches — hold the lid down in transit
– Tool tray inside — takes removable boxes
– Pebble texture — ribs across the faces
– Packed on pallets — stacked for shipping
Customization Options
Case length, case width, case depth, wall thickness, latch position, handle shape, rib pitch, the inner cavity and the color are all set by your 3D file. A revised tool box set needs only a tool insert change, so a longer case keeps the same handle and the same latches.
Quality & Delivery
Each case is checked for length, width and depth, and the latches are gauged so the lid closes flush with the base. First articles are sent for approval, so a tool box set arrives ready to pack. Send your 3D file through our quotation page and we will confirm the plastic, the color and the lead time.
Related Capabilities
A tool box set runs in the same shop as our clear hinged storage box, which is a one-piece container with an integral flip hinge, and our white hinged-lid case, which is molded with a built-in hinge.
Where a case has to hold small parts, our transparent blue equipment tray is a molded shell with a recessed cavity, and our d-handle tool housing is a two-tone casing for a hand tool. The tool for a new case is cut in house on our mold making line, and the parts run under our injection molding service.
