Filter Cover Assembly | Threaded Mesh Cap and Molded Base

A filter cover assembly molded as two parts that screw together.

– Thread holds — the cap runs down the base thread by hand
– Mesh formed in the tool — every opening repeats
– Faces flush — the cap rim seats on the base shoulder
– Bore round — the base bore stays true to your 3D file
– First article gauged — checked against your 3D file

Overview

A filter cover assembly is molded as two parts: a cylindrical base with a bore up the middle, and a mesh cap that screws down onto the base thread. The cap face carries radial ribs and a lattice of openings, and a collar takes the cap on a shoulder.

Our white cylindrical filter housing holds a filter element in a straight tube, and the dome-shaped plastic mesh guard covers an opening with a domed screen. This filter cover assembly pairs a threaded mesh cap with the base it screws onto.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Two molded parts — cap and base each come off their own tool
  • Thread matched — both threads are cut to one 3D file
  • Mesh in steel — every opening is formed by the tool
  • Radial ribs — the cap face holds its shape across the span
  • Base bore — the base takes a stem or a filter body

Because a filter cover assembly is molded in two tools built to one 3D file, the cap and the base arrive matched.

Customization Options

Cap diameter, mesh opening, rib layout, thread size, base height and bore all come from your 3D file, so a filter cover assembly is molded for the housing you already run.

  • Cap diameter and mesh opening — from your 3D file
  • Thread size and lead — cut in both tools to one callout
  • Resin — picked to suit the medium the part sees
  • Color — green, white or another shade, single or two-tone

Quality & Delivery

Tooling for a filter cover assembly is cut in our own shop, so the mesh, the thread and the bore repeat cavity to cavity. The first article is gauged against your 3D file — cap diameter, mesh opening, thread fit and bore — before the run is released.

Surface finish comes off the tool. The mold faces are polished to the sheen your 3D file calls for, the gate is trimmed flush, and no flash reaches a mating face. Lead time is quoted with the price and held to the date, and each batch is gauged before it is packed for export.

We mold each filter cover assembly to your 3D file, so the cap, the mesh and the base follow the model. Send the 3D file and we return a quotation with the tool cost, the unit price and the lead time.

Related Capabilities

Fluid and air parts sit beside this filter cover assembly. The plastic tube clamp connector takes a square and a round bore, the plastic threaded adapter steps between two threads, and the green threaded union fitting joins two runs.

Tooling and molding both run in house — on our mold making floor and our injection molding service presses. The threaded plastic nozzle fittings carry a molded stem, and the custom guard ring guards a cable hole. Send your 3D file for a quotation.
