Overview
A large knurled knob gives a machine operator a wide grip for tightening a fitting or setting a position by hand. Vertical knurling runs around the full outer edge, so the fingers catch the rim at any angle, and the large diameter turns a stiff thread without a tool. The back face carries radial ribs that stiffen the disc under load, and mounting holes let the knob bolt to a machine panel or a housing, with the centre hole left open for the shaft or the stud.
Because a large knurled knob is molded, the knurling, the radial ribs and the mounting holes are formed in one cycle, so the ribs meet the rim evenly and the hole pattern stays concentric with the centre bore.
Our plastic control knob is a small grip that slides onto a shaft, and our knurled control knob carries a white indicator line for reading a dial. This large knurled knob is the heavy duty version, a wide disc with a ribbed back and mounting holes for a stiff adjustment.

Customization Options
Outer diameter, disc thickness, knurl pitch, rib count, centre hole size and the mounting hole pattern are all set by your 3D file. We mold in PA6, ABS, POM and glass filled nylon in any colour, and can add a degree scale, a pointer line or a metal insert at the centre where the knob has to indicate a position or take a thread. A revised large knurled knob usually needs only a tool insert change, so a new diameter keeps the same hole pattern.
Quality & Delivery
Each large knurled knob is checked for outer diameter, disc thickness, centre hole size and the mounting hole pattern, and the knurl is inspected for an even grip around the rim.
