Overview
A cylindrical support foot lifts a cabinet, an office machine or an instrument off the floor and carries the load down into a flanged base. The body is molded as a plain cylinder with a wide flange at the bottom, and the mounting hole in the top face takes the fixing screw that fastens the foot to the equipment housing. The flange spreads the load over the floor, and the cylinder keeps the housing clear of the surface.
Because a cylindrical support foot is molded, the cylinder, the flange and the mounting hole are formed in one cycle, so the foot sits flat on every unit and the flange edge stays even around the base.
The leveling foot in our range carries a threaded stud or insert so the height can be adjusted after the machine is in place, while this support foot is a fixed-height part that fastens through its top hole. Where a square tube or a post has to be held upright instead, our flange socket base carries a square socket.
Key Features & Benefits
– Flanged base — spreads the load on the floor
– Cylindrical body — keeps the housing clear
– Mounting hole — fastens the foot to the base
– Molded structure — cylinder and flange in one part
– Plain finish — matches the housing colour
Customization Options
Foot height, cylinder diameter, flange diameter, flange thickness, mounting hole size and hole thread are all set by your 3D file. We mold in PA6, ABS, PP and glass filled nylon in any colour, and can mold the cylinder hollow to save material or solid where the foot carries a heavier load. A revised cylindrical support foot usually needs only a tool insert change, so a new height keeps the same flange and hole.
Quality & Delivery
Each cylindrical support foot is checked for foot height, cylinder diameter, flange diameter and mounting hole size, and the flange is gauged flat before the run continues. First articles are sent for approval, so a cylindrical support foot arrives ready to fit. Send your 3D file through our quotation page and we will confirm material, colour and lead time.
Related Capabilities
A cylindrical support foot is molded alongside our custom leveling foot, which carries a threaded stud for height adjustment, and our flange socket base, which holds a square tube or a post upright. Where the base rests on a crowned pad instead, see our molded bumper. Equipment that has to move is carried by our metal stem caster. All of them are produced in house under our injection molding service.
