Overview
A nylon slide block is molded as a flat guide with a central travel slot cut through it. A bolt passes through the slot, and the block can be set anywhere along the slot length before the fixing is tightened, which lets a rail, a guard or a bracket be positioned without a second drilling operation.
Two round holes sit one at each end of the block, and each one is counterbored, so a bolt head sits below the top face. The underside is cored into two pockets split by a center rib, which takes weight out of the part without softening the wall under the slot.
Because a nylon slide block is molded in one piece, the travel slot, the end holes and the cored pockets are formed to the same 3D file, so the slot keeps the same width on every part.
Our plastic spacer block is molded with a locating channel and a raised tongue along its top face and a solid section, while a nylon slide block carries an oval slot right through the body and a cored underside. Our plastic frame connector bolts two machine frames together as a fixed joiner, and our plastic mounting bracket grips a shaft in a splined bore.

Customization Options
Block length, block width, block height, travel slot length, travel slot width, hole diameter, hole spacing, counterbore depth, pocket depth and corner radius are all set by your 3D file. We mold the block in nylon and glass filled nylon in any color, and the slot is cut into the tool from your own file, so the profile stays yours. A revised nylon slide block usually needs only a tool insert change, so a longer travel slot keeps the same end holes.
