Overview
A custom flange socket base holds a square tube or a post upright in an equipment frame and carries the load down into the flange. The socket is molded as a hollow square bore with a mounting flange at the bottom, so the tube slides into the bore and the flange bolts flat to the frame profile. A side hole takes a cross pin or a fixing bolt where the tube has to be locked against pull-out.
Ribs run across the socket wall to keep it stiff under side load, and the fillet where the socket meets the flange spreads the stress at the root.
Because a custom flange socket base is molded, the square bore, flange, ribs and side hole are formed in one cycle with no welding and no secondary drilling.

Customization Options
Bore size, socket height, wall thickness, flange size, flange thickness and hole pitch are all set by your 3D file. We mold in PP, ABS, PA6, POM and glass filled nylon in any colour, and can add a bolt-down hole pattern, a cable opening or a threaded insert where the base carries a moving part. A revised custom flange socket base is usually handled with a tool insert change, so a new height or flange keeps the same square bore.
