Overview
This plastic cam is a custom injection molded part produced to your 3D file, and the same tooling covers the matching disc. Both are molded as a contour part with a center bore, an eccentric profile and annular steps, so they position a shaft and control motion in valve actuators, instrument mechanisms and automatic motion controls. The parts are shown in white, and other colors can run from the same tool.
Key Features & Benefits
– Center bore — fits the shaft of your actuator
– Eccentric profile — a cam face molded to your 3D file
– Annular step — raised steps for precise positioning
– Contour part — the molded contour controls the motion path
– Positioning part — holds a set position in the mechanism
– Molded in one shot — the cam comes off the tool as one part
Customization Options
Every plastic cam is made to your 3D file, so the contour profile, the eccentric offset, the annular step height, the center bore and the color follow your design instead of a catalogue size.
Send the motion requirement and the center bore need with the file, and we check the wall thickness, the draft angle and the gate position before steel is cut. If the cam runs against a follower you already use, send that detail as well, and we match the contour to it in the tool.
The disc and the cam can run as a set, and we quote the tooling for both parts together so the contour of the pair stays matched. Parts are checked against your 3D file before shipment, and the inspection record stays with the tool for repeat orders.
