Overview
This plastic transmission gear is a custom injection molded part produced to your 3D file. It is molded as a toothed gear with a center bore for drive mechanisms, small transmissions and instrument mechanisms, and it comes in a range of gear shapes, bore sizes and tooth profiles. The gear is shown in white, and other colors can run from the same tool.

Key Features & Benefits
– Various module options — molded to the module you specify
– Tooth profile — held in the tool to your 3D file
– Center bore — molded in the gear blank for your shaft
– Gear mesh — molded for small transmission and drive parts
– Molded texture — a clean molded surface, no machining
– Molded in one shot — the gear comes off the tool as one part

Customization Options
Every plastic transmission gear is made to your 3D file, so the module, the number of teeth, the tooth profile, the bore size, the gear shape and the color follow your part instead of a catalogue size. Send the module requirement and the assembly need with the file, and we check the tooth form, the draft angle and the gate position before steel is cut. If the gear meshes with a part you already use, send that detail as well, and we match the tooth form to it in the tool.

Gears are checked against your 3D file before shipment, and the inspection record stays with the tool for repeat orders. If the gear runs in a gear train, send the mating gears as well, so the teeth mesh correctly on the first sample.

Ordering and quotation
Send your 3D file with the module requirement and the yearly volume. You receive a molding quotation that lists tooling cost, cycle time and sample lead time, and the yearly volume also decides how many cavities the tool should carry. We flag any tooth form that cannot mold cleanly at the wall you need before the quotation goes out.
