Overview

A rubber buffer buckle is a molded rubber part that sits in a panel slot and takes the knock when a door or a lever comes home. It is molded in one piece: a ribbed pad, a strap that rises from the pad and folds back, and a loop at the end with a hole through it.

The pad is the working face of a rubber buffer buckle. Its ribs are molded across the face in even steps, so the pad meets a flat panel on many small lines and holds the gap without cupping. The strap carries the load back into the slot.

It sits beside the rubber parts we mold. Our snap on buffer clip carries a foam pad, the molded bumper is a round base with a bore, and the anti vibration foot seats under a frame.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Pad: a ribbed block that takes the knock
  • Strap: a folded arm molded in one piece with the pad
  • Loop: a closed eye at the end of the strap
  • Hole: a through bore in the loop for a pin
  • Face: a flat seat that beds against the panel

Because a rubber buffer buckle is molded to your 3D file, the rib pitch, the strap section and the loop bore repeat cavity to cavity, so every part in a run seats to the same depth and holds the same gap.

Customization Options

Pad size, rib pitch, strap length, loop bore, compound and color all come from your 3D file, so a rubber buffer buckle is molded for the panel and the travel you have.

  • Pad: length, width and rib pitch
  • Strap: thickness and fold radius
  • Loop: bore and wall
  • Shoulders: width where the part meets the slot
  • Color: a black compound or a shade you match
  • Finish: a matte face or the sheen your 3D file calls for

Quality & Delivery

Tooling for a rubber buffer buckle is cut in our own mold shop, and the first article is gauged against your 3D file, rib pitch and loop bore included, before the run is released.

Mold faces are finished to the sheen your 3D file calls for, the flash line is trimmed off the pad edge, and the strap comes off the tool at full section so it folds without a thin spot. Lead time is quoted with the unit price and held to the date, and each batch is gauged before packing.

We mold every rubber buffer buckle to your 3D file, so the pad, the strap and the loop follow the model. Send the 3D file for a quotation with the tool cost and the unit price.
