Overview
A molded snap buckle is a small white clip: a flat body with a slot through it and a short arm that springs. The parts leave the tool several to a runner, and the sprue is broken away at the gate after molding.
Our cover clip fastens a machine cover, the L-shaped cover clip grips a panel edge, and the custom snap latch closes a panel catch. This molded snap buckle runs on a multi-cavity tool, with the parts sharing one runner.
Key Features & Benefits
- Multi-cavity tool — the buckles come off in one cycle
- Cavity to cavity — every part on the runner is cut to one 3D file
- Flat body — the clip sits square against a panel
- Slot and arm — both are formed by the tool
- Gate at the runner — the part breaks away and the sprue is trimmed
Because a molded snap buckle comes off a tool built in our own shop, the body, the slot and the arm repeat cavity to cavity.
Customization Options
Body size, wall thickness, slot size, arm length, runner layout and resin all come from your 3D file, so a molded snap buckle is made for the assembly you already run.
- Body and slot size — from your 3D file
- Arm length — set to the snap you need
- Runner layout — laid out for your tool and press
- Resin — picked to the flex and the duty at your end
- Color — white, black or another shade, single or two-tone
Quality & Delivery
Tooling is cut in our own shop, and the first article of every molded snap buckle is gauged against your 3D file — body, slot, arm and gate — before the run is released. The runner is laid out so every part on it is fed the same way, which keeps the parts on one set of numbers.
Mold faces are polished to the sheen your 3D file calls for, so a molded snap buckle comes off the tool flat and breaks away by hand. Lead time is quoted with the unit price and held to the date, and each batch is gauged before packing.
We mold each molded snap buckle to your 3D file, so the body, the slot and the arm follow the model. Send the 3D file and we return a quotation with the tool cost and the unit price.
