Overview
Our black connector body is a custom injection molded housing that holds a row of gold pins inside an open top cavity. The pins stand on a molded floor, a raised inner rim runs around the cavity, and a rectangular slot in the stepped lower tier gives the cable a side exit. The two-tier base sits flat on a panel, and the thick walls around the rim keep the pins clear of tools during assembly. We mold the body strictly to your drawing, and we do not supply the stamped pins, seals or finished cable assembly.
Key Features & Benefits
– Row of gold pins — the pins stand in the open cavity, so wires can be crimped or soldered after molding
– Side cable slot — the slot in the lower tier gives the cable a clean exit instead of a drilled hole
– Stepped two-tier base — the wider lower tier spreads load and keeps the body flat on a panel
– Raised inner rim — the collar around the pins protects them during handling and plugging
– Thick cavity walls — the section around the pins resists flex when the mating plug is pushed on
– One-piece molded body — cavity, rim, slot and base come from a single tool
Customization Options
Full OEM & ODM injection molding service. We customize cavity size, pin count and pitch, cable slot width, base footprint, wall thickness and plastic grade including PA66, PBT, PA and ABS. Insert molding of metal pins is available, and we support color matching, matte or textured finish and molded part markings. Tooling design support and DFM feedback on pin pitch and rim draft are included before mold making.
Quality & Delivery
Every batch of the black connector body passes dimensional inspection against the customer drawing before shipment, and pin pitch, rim height and slot width are checked with a gauge on each production lot. First article samples with a full inspection report are provided for approval. Send your 3D file or sample for a quick quotation.
