Overview

A snap-in end cap closes an opening with one molded plate. The face is a flattened oval — two long curved edges and two straight ends — with a counterbored hole through the middle. Two slotted tabs stand under the plate, and the part presses into an opening until the legs catch behind it.

Cover parts sit beside this cap. Our custom oval tube end cap presses a grooved plug into an elliptical tube, the black oval tube plug closes a profile tube, and the custom square tube cover slips over a square section; this snap-in end cap closes a panel opening instead.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Snap tabs — the two slotted legs spring out and hold behind the panel
  • Flat face — the plate beds down on the surface around the opening
  • Center hole — the counterbored bore comes through the middle
  • Oval face — two long curved edges and two straight ends
  • One cycle — the face, the bore and the tabs come off one tool

Because a snap-in end cap is molded to your 3D file, the face, the tabs and the bore repeat cavity to cavity.

Customization Options

Face size, oval profile, tab length, bore diameter and resin all come from your 3D file, so a snap-in end cap is molded for the opening you already run.

  • Face and profile — molded to your opening
  • Tab length and hold — set to the panel thickness
  • Center bore — sized to your screw, plug or cable
  • Resin — picked to the duty and the finish at your end
  • Color — black, gray or another shade, single or two-tone

Quality & Delivery

Tooling for a snap-in end cap is cut in our own shop, and the first article of every snap-in end cap is gauged against your 3D file — face profile, bore, tab length and the catch behind the panel — before the run is released.

Mold faces are polished to the sheen your 3D file calls for, the gate is trimmed flush with the face, and the tabs leave the tool ready to spring. Lead time is quoted with the unit price and held to the date, and each batch is gauged before packing.

We mold each snap-in end cap to your 3D file, so the face, the tabs and the bore follow the model. Send the 3D file and we return a quotation with the tool cost and the unit price.
