Overview
An LED light housing is the shell a linear light is built around. Ours is molded as two halves: a channel body that carries the strip, and a cover that runs the length as the lens. End caps close both ends, and the raised middle section forms a control box where the USB opening, the window and the indicator sit. The strip and the sensor module drop in once the shell is molded.
Our cylindrical plastic enclosure is molded as a round tube and our blue tray housing as a flat shell, while an LED light housing runs as a slim profile with a lens cover of its own. The snap-in end cap is molded as a panel hole cover; the caps here close the profile on a straight seam.
Key Features & Benefits
- Two halves — the channel and the lens cover close on a straight seam
- Lens cover — runs the length of the strip as one molded part
- End caps — molded to the profile, with the cord inlet in line
- Control box — the USB opening and the window sit square in the wall
- Sensor seat — the channel takes a sensor module beside the strip
- Slim wall — the profile stays light over a long section
Because an LED light housing is molded to your 3D file, the section, the seam and the cap line repeat cavity to cavity.
Customization Options
Length, section size, wall, cover fit, cap shape, inlet layout and color all come from your 3D file, so an LED light housing is molded for the range you sell.
- Body — section and length set to your 3D file
- Lens cover — tint and thickness as you set
- End caps — inlet position placed where the cord falls
- Control box — window, USB opening and indicator set to your board
- Color — a white grade, a shade you match or a two-tone split
Quality & Delivery
Tooling for an LED light housing is cut in our own shop, and the first article of every body and cover is gauged against your 3D file — section, wall, cap fit and control box opening — before the run is released.
Mold faces are finished to the sheen your 3D file calls for, the gate is trimmed flush with the wall, and the cover seats on the body with an even line. Lead time is quoted with the unit price and held to the date, and each batch is gauged before packing.
We mold each LED light housing to your 3D file, so the channel, the cover and the caps follow the model. Send the 3D file and we return a quotation with the tool cost and the unit price.
Related Capabilities
Housing parts sit beside this LED light housing. The plastic mounting bracket fixes a channel to a surface, and the blue equipment tray is molded as a recessed shell.
Tooling and molding both run in house — on our mold making floor and our injection molding service presses. Send your 3D file for a quotation.
